Are you following the 'Green Carpet Challenge'?

It's awards season in Hollywood right now, so that can mean one thing. Red carpet fashion.

This year we're gonna be seeing one particular celebrity donning the red carpet with a difference. Livia Firth is going to be hitting the red carpet wearing upcycled dresses showing not only her aesthetic but ethic side of fashion. She is doing the "Green carpet challenge".

The first dress of this challenge is one she wore to the Golden Globes made entirely of plastic bottles, designed by Armani. Armani is not the only big name involved with the challenge, the likes of Stella McCartney, Tom Ford and YSL are designing ethically produced pieces for Livia.

Celebrity is an industry that is constantly criticised for promoting negative body image, over consumption and all other vices under the sun. But could a move like this by someone very well known inspire more people to think more ethically about their clothes as opposed to aesthetically?
